Product Description

Aquatech Flexible Waterproof Basecoat is an Exterior Waterproof Basecoat which protects the exterior walls for 10 years by developing a shield against water damage with its inbuilt fibre mesh. Its unique Hydroshield Technology can protect the walls against a Hydrostatic Pressure of up to 10bars and provides a crack bridging of up to 3mm with Dulux Weathershield Powerflexx.

Treatments such as sanding, burning off etc of paint films may generate hazardous dust and/or fumes. Wet sanding/ flatting should be used wherever possible. Work in well ventilated areas. Use suitable personal protection equipment. Wear hand/eye protection. Do not breathe vapour/spray. Use only in well ventilated areas. Remove as much paints as possible from brushes and rollers before cleaning. Avoid release to the environment. Collect spillage. Keep away from food, drinks and animal feed. Store in a cool and shaded place. Container must be in a secure, upright position and be tightly closed. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with skin wash immediately with soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Do not use solvents or thinners.

Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
    Surfaces should be completely dry and clean.
    • Clean the peeled or damaged painted wall and dust with brush. Minor defects in the wall can be fixed by using the appropriate exterior materials. Use a mixture of sand and cement to patch larger holes on the walls.
    • If the surface is chalking, apply a single layer of Dulux Interior Exterior sealer for maximum result. For the new wall surfaces, let the mixture dry well (Protimeter measurement range of moisture.
  • 2. Storing
    Observe the label precautions. Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated place away from sources of heat, ignition and direct sunlight. No smoking. Prevent unauthorised access. Containers which are opened should be properly resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Do not use or store any paint container by hanging on a hook.
