Command attention with yellow

For the most attention-grabbing combination of colours, you can’t go past black and yellow. Have you ever wondered why warning signs are splashed with yellow and black? Even in a snowstorm or thick fog, they still command attention. And that’s also why school buses and taxis are often painted a vibrant, shiny yellow with big black lettering. You just can’t miss them (at least, we hope you don’t).

Yellow and black have a similarly powerful effect when used in the home. A combination not to messed with, these hues create an eclectic look that is at once graphic, glamorous and fresh. Add accents of bright yellow to a dark interior for an industrial feel or pair the two colours with warm woods and natural materials to offset the bold nature of the colour combination.
