Interior New substrate
Steps 1 |
Surface preparation |
A |
All wet works (Masonry work) should be completed and the surface should be fully cured (Minimum of 28 days) and moisture level must be less than 12%) |

Remove all impurities and loos sand particles |

Surface cracks (1mm cracks) must be filled on the existing surface using Dulux crack filler |

D |
Ensure the surface is Dry |

Step 2 |
Putty application |
A |
Apply 1 or 2 coats of Dulux putty (Powder or Paste) layer (Up to 1mm) |
B |
Keep the surface to dry for 2 to 3 days (it is depended on the environmental conditions) |

C |
Sand the putty layer using an appropriate sandpaper |
||
Step 3 |
Filler application |
A |
Wipe all dust particles on existing surface |
B |
Apply one or two coats of Dulux wall filler. Depending on the requirement (if the surface is powdery) apply the Dulux interior/exterior sealer |

C |
Keep the surface to dry for 6 to 8 hours. |

Step 4 |
Paint application |
A |
1st coat application: Apply one coat of paint according to the directions on the label |
B |
Keep the surface to dry for 4 to 6 hours. |

C |
2nd coat application: Apply paint according to the directions on the label |
||
D |
Keep the surface to cure at least for 7days for best performance. |
Previously painted surfaces
Steps 1 |
Surface preparation |

Surface & previous paint film must be sound & should have good adhesion. |

If defective coating, remove the coating completely |

C |
If there are cracks on the surface, use Dulux crack filler or masonry work to fill the cracks. If masonry work is done, the surface should be fully cured (Minimum of 28 days) and moisture level must be less than 12%) |

D |
If powdery, use one coat of Dulux masonry or Dulux interior/exterior sealer. Allow to dry as per the instructions on the label |
||
E |
If there is fungal or algae, use Dulux Aquatech Fungicidal Wash to remove any fungi or algae growth. Refer the label for instructions |

Step 2 |
Filler ( if required when changing the colour or if putty/masonry work is done) |

Apply Dulux wall filler |

Keep the surface to dry for 4 to 6 hours. |

Paint Application |

1st coat application: Apply one coat of paint according to the directions on the label |

Keep the surface to dry for 4 to 6 hours (it is defended on the condition of the environment) |

2nd coat application: Apply the second coat according to the instructions on the label |

Keep the surface to cure at least for 7 days for the best performance |
Exterior new substrate
Step 1 |

Keep the surface to dry (Dulux primer 24 hours/ Dulux interior/exterior sealer for 4 to 6 hours). Allow the surface to dry as per the instructions on the label |

If there are cracks, apply Dulux crack bringing wall primer. Allow to dry for 4 – 6 hours |

D |
Keep the surface to dry thoroughly |

Step 3 |
Paint application |

1st coat application: Apply paint according to the instructions on the label |

Keep the surface to dry for 4 to 6 hours. |

2nd coat application: Apply paint according to the instructions on the label |

Exterior previously painted once

The surface and the previous paint film must be sound & should have good adhesion. |

If defective coating, remove the coating completely |

If there are cracks on the surface, use Dulux crack filler or masonry work to fill the cracks. If masonry work is done surface should be fully cured (Minimum of 28 days) and moisture level must be less than 12%) |

If there is fungal or algae, use Dulux Aquatech Fungicidal Wash to remove any fungi or algae growth. Refer the label for instructions |
